Somalia's Got Soul - A Night Of Somalinimo

Friday evenings Somali's Got Soul event is all everyone is talking about over the weekend. Anti Tribalism Movement along side a range of Somali artists put their efforts together to raise money for those effected by the recent droughts and famine in Somalia.

"A state of famine has been declared in Somalia. Over 200,000 children need urgent assistance as do their mothers and fathers." - ATM 

Money raised at the event will go to Adeso - African Development Solutions who will deliver the funds to households affected by the recent droughts and famine through assessing their needs and providing grant rather nourishment hand outs. 

The guests were up on their feet dancing and singing along to the songs sang by the artists. The atmosphere was incredible. We at Elmimag.com think that Somalia definitely has soul.

There was a raffle ticket draw which helped raise money on the night. Prizes included, Aar Maanta EP, Kindle, £100 voucher for Village restaurant, Nadifa Mohamed's signed book and an iPad Mini.
